The Engine Center (EC) Assembly Materials Organization has a rare opportunity for a Alternate Work Week (AWW) Weekend Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Controller in our new world-class engine assembly building in Middletown, CT.
Job Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate material kitting in support of assembly floor need, working closely with the on-campus Forward Stocking Location (FSL)and remote warehouses

  • Utilize Lean principles to establish world-class Materials Flow/Synchronization within the value stream

  • Support shortage management process

  • Oversee materials/logistics issues

  • Coordinate with Engine and Module Assembly to ensure parts are available when needed

  • Participate in making allocation/priority decisions on critical hardware

  • Utilize/operate Andon system in support of assembly floor requirements

  • Support efforts to drive cost & lead time reductions

  • Participate in Process Improvement efforts

  • You will work closely with engineering, quality & industrial management to ensure assembly and test requirements are fully supported.

Qualification: Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required
Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing Strategies and Techniques OR
Advanced Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing Strategies and Techniques
  • 2+ years of SAP operating system experience

  • US citizenship required due to government contracts

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Creative troubleshooting skills
    Able to craft clear communications.Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Computer skills- Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project

  • Excellent Judgment and professional maturity

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong desire to succeed and pursue personal growth and developmental opportunities

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
    Can work effectively with all levels throughout the organization
