KCPS is seeking a Counsel – Real Estate to join their team. This position may be located in either Wichita, KS or Atlanta, GA.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Draft, review and negotiate various real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases (ground, build to suit, office, warehouse and residential), land use (easement, licenses, restrictive covenants, etc.), ancillary lease documents (tenant estoppels and SNDAs).

  • Review and analyze real estate diligence (title, survey, zoning, environmental).

  • Work with and manage paralegals and non-attorney team members.

  • Working closely with several business groups across the Koch companies.


 What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating more complicated general real estate matters (i.e., large leases, acquisitions, divestitures, easements, etc.)

  • Juris doctorate

  • Active member of a state bar in good standing


What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience reviewing and negotiating real estate joint ventures and associated financing agreements

  • Ability to travel 10-20%
