Lead and motivate Vineyard Room staff to deliver superlative tasting experiences, including both tasting bar and table service.
Promote and sell wines and merchandise by assisting and educating guests in tasting wines and making purchasing decisions. Lead VR staff in sales efforts, working with the TR Management team to develop new tastings and promotions.
Model exceptional customer service. Provide knowledgeable, consistent and courteous responses to guest questions, complaints and/or problems. Ensure that all problems are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Provide training and orientation for new Vineyard Room staff. Communicate service standards, provide feedback and support.
Lead staff to reach the team goal for Wine Club sign-ups by creating incentives, providing staff training, modeling sign-up techniques
Events and Wine Education:
Conduct VIP, group or private tastings as needed
Host specialty programs, lunches, dinners or other events as assigned.
Promote and represent winery by pouring at off-premise special events.
Maintain, update and expand knowledge of the winery, viticulture, enology and wine and food pairing by participating in educational training, seminars and tastings within the Winery and through outside sources.
Opening and Closing Procedures and Financial Responsibilities:
Perform and/or oversee daily cash reconciliation and opening/close of day responsibilities on cash register with RMS POS system.
Execute change orders, daily deposits and daily reporting as required.
Support the VC team in correct procedures for accounting for wine and merchandise to ensure accurate inventory and reporting
Assist with quarterly wine or merchandise physical inventories as requested.
Responsible for compliance with CWUS sustainability policies and practices which are economically
viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.

1- 3 years sales experience with a proven record of success
1-3 years experience in a high-volume, luxury retail, restaurant or hospitality environment. Management experience desirable.
Proficient with PC software including: Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Strong math and analytical skills
Foreign language skills a definite plus
2-4 years of college or equivalent higher education
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / OTHER
Must be able to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods.
Must be able to work both inside and outside in varied weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
