Chemical Engineer
Innovate high-purity, high-performance chemicals and materials

The Process Engineer position is responsible for providing technical expertise to ensure the operation produces product that meets all quality, cost, and efficiency requirements. You will need to identify ways to improve safety, quality, yields, and the capability of existing processes while also assisting in the scale up and implementation of developmental products/processes. Core challenges include leading continuous process improvements to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the operation to meet goals established by the business, along with providing technical guidance to the operations team to assist with process troubleshooting and developing corrective action plans.
  • Lead productivity projects, maintain engineering documents
  • Develop capital projects scope of work
  • Optimize plant energy consumption
  • Develop technical solutions to support the plant
  • Perform RCAs for HSE and production issues
  • Use Six Sigma and LEAN tools to drive process improvements
  • Identify process KPI/KPOs
  • Develop and implement process control plans
  • Create process packages
  • Participate in new product development

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Chemical, polymer, fiber manufacturing experience preferred.
  • MS in Chemical Engineering ABET accredited university
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving,decision making and organizational skills
  • Experience with Management of Change and the DMAIC process.
  • Experience with Experian, Wonderware, and Allen-Bradley PLCs a plus.
  • Experience with scoping projects with business level impact.
  • Experience with leading RCAs, identifying and implementing process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
  • Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision.
