Crescent Bank is currently looking for a Legal/Bankruptcy Specialist I. This position will interact with attorneys and/or Attorney Network for processing legal suits, garnishments and bankruptcies. Monitoring of automated and manual processes to ensure the proper handling of outsourced accounts, as well as ensuring the proper charges are billed to the company for services rendered. Update statuses on legal and bankruptcy accounts and provide all necessary documents to the attorney as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitors attorney performance, reviews legal bills and forwards bills for approval.
Process proof of claims in chapter 13 cases
Assign accounts and interact with Third Party Vendors and ensure all cases/claims are being followed up on in a timely manner.
Effectively communicate with Attorneys, Civil Courts, Bankruptcy Trustees, Bankruptcy Courts and customers.
Process payments per bankruptcy policy and procedure
Maintain Collection system through accurate review and assessment of the Bankruptcy case
Works effectively as part of a team atmosphere to perform duties and achieve daily operational goals
Meets productivity standards in accordance with Crescent Bank’s confidentiality policies and organizational values
Performs additional duties as needed within the department
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Thorough knowledge of the civil litigation process and entire legal life cycle from suit to post-judgment
Thorough knowledge of both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 processes
Minimum one year related work experience
