Quantum is currently searching for applicants to develop, test, and evaluate critical aspects of the Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) mission area as it relates to increasing the ability to detect, track, identify and negate low, slow and small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This will include the development of process which improve operational architecture and operational relationships to increase a unit s ability to cross-share critical information.
The Joint Test and Evaluation (JT&E) program provides rapid solutions to operational deficiencies identified by the joint military community. The program achieves this objective by developing new Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) and rigorously measuring the extent to which their use improves operational outcomes. One option is to conduct a Quick Reaction Test (QRT) to provide a rapid response to urgent issues.
Performs a variety of engineering tasks, either independently or under supervision, which are broad in nature and are concerned with execution of JFS, JT, T&E or QRT activities. This discipline may include supervisory duties.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and perform engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications; May supervise engineer/analysts, be responsible for major technical/engineering projects of higher complexity and importance than those normally assigned to lower level engineers; May coordinate the activities of Engineers and Technicians assigned to specific engineering projects; May be required to utilize advanced knowledge of modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions.
The highest level labor category (III) applies expertise and knowledge of the subject matter to analyze and solve highly complex problems, and provides management and subject matter insight to the team performing the assigned task.
Education and Experience:
Minimum educational experience is a Bachelor s Degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience or Master s Degree with at least 4 years of experience
Applicants must excellent written and oral skills and the ability to communicate difficult concepts to various audiences. They must have previous experience with developing TTP and Doctrine and have an understanding of the JT&E process. Applicants must be familiar with the operation of Groups 1 & 2 UAS and have previous experience with various Counter UAS systems. They must have an active SECRET security clearance and willing to submit to follow-on investigations.
It is desired that applicants have prior military experience, prior JT&E / QRT experience, other Test & Evaluation experience, and recent participation with C-UAS assessments
