AS A CLIENT SPECIALIST A TYPICAL DAY TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
A Client Specialist is responsible of monitoring and completing H&W, DB and/or DB transactions, in accordance to plan rules, client provisions and compliance requirements (COBRA, DVS, ERISA, etc.). Given the variety of tasks within the role, they need to have good organizational skills and be able to manage urgent request in a timely matter as well as reprioritize throughout the day. A client Specialist will also have auditing responsibilities, not only of their own transactions but also third party databases, ensuring the data vendors have is accurate with that of our databases. The role is client facing and will have direct contact with clients, vendors and third party administrators and for this reason it s essential to have good written and verbal communications in both Spanish and English.
The client specialist will be responsible in Health and Welfare, Defined Contribution and Defined benefit eligibility and administration, as well as Compliance with COBRA law, and established timelines for notifications. Will have daily transactional routines for Qualifying events, employment status updates and Dependent verification. Issue tracker, open cases or workflows will need to be answered and resolved by the Client specialist within the establish term for each client, with third parties, manager or client if necessary. Must work independently and make reference to plan rules, policies, SPDs and requirement documents and it is expected to reach case resolutions but has no decision making responsibilities.
Read and know the specific performance standards for each of their clients to ensure the standard is being met each month, this will be determined through an established Quality process. If inaccuracy or untimely processing causes penalties to be paid, this will be considered towards the final evaluation performance level. Complete transactions as specified in the Service Delivery model (SDM) and account requirement documents, in a timely manner and data entry precision. Create and update monthly, quarterly and annual documents in word and/or PowerPoint with account activity, statistics, trends and major highlights to report to clients, as well as internal guides for transactional and account management.
This role is client facing and requires good communication and written skills in both Spanish and English. The specialist will attend Annual Client visits and will have to complete open items prior to meetings and minutes after meeting completion.
Must be able to analyze ample data and interpret excel reports accurately for auditing and financial headcount reporting.
Will work with other teams like implementations, data and Leave administration and when a defect or area of improvement is identified will be responsible of creating a ticket to correct.
Formal University studies ( BA, BBA)
Communication proficiency in English and Spanish
Proficient in the use of MS Excel
Knowledge in Word and Power Point
Knowledge in H&W, Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit
Attention to details is a must.
CBA tool knowledge not required but good to have.
