Myriad Genetics is looking for a qualified candidate to join our Clinical Data Specialist team. The Clinical Data Specialist is responsible for evaluating the clinical history and results for genetic tests ordered by health care providers. The Clinical Data Specialist will interact with health care providers to ensure the appropriate testing is performed for their patients. The Clinical Data Specialist will also interact closely with the Genetic Counselors and Laboratory Directors at Myriad to clarify any concerns with the test ordered, quality of tests performed or results of testing for the patient. This position requires an individual who is passionate about delivering quality information to patients so they can make important healthcare decisions.
An understanding of the products offered at Myriad and the clinical histories that are appropriate for each product.
Ensure that the appropriate testing was performed as requested by the health care provider.
Contact health care providers to clarify any concerns and resolve any issues prior to test release.
Detailed review of all elements of a laboratory report. This requires understanding of the current processes at Myriad that may contributes to a patient's result and being able to trouble shoot effectively.
Confirm that the best possible patient care was given to each and every patient prior to sending out a report to their health care provider.
Bachelors degree, preferably in Biology or a related field
Professional and detail oriented
Proficient with Windows, Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills
