Job Summary
The Servicing Transfer Data Quality and Analytics Lead is responsible for leading and implementing all data solutions for flow and bulk boarding transfer quality standards, as well as reporting on transfer data and quality metrics. This position is responsible for building out initial databases and SQL for each loan transfer that the Bank encounters to identify gaps.

The Servicing Transfer Data Quality and Analytics Lead will work closely with the Director of Loan Boarding, the Sr. Manager Servicing Transfers, and the QA Project Manager to create and maintain real-world data models and database solutions, such as QA databases, to test prior servicer data for logical conditions and report on transfer quality and key metrics associated with new loan acquisitions.

This position will not only be the liaison between the business and IT, but will also work closely with IT to optimize existing tools and make recommendations on the use of industry tools for transfer quality assurance. The Servicing Transfer Data Quality and Analytics Lead will act as the chief architect to design the data bases to bring in transfer data to streamline manual processes and increase efficiencies.

The Servicing Transfer Data Quality and Analytics Lead be responsible for the build out to automate KPIs and create reporting related to key performance indicators to ensure the Servicing Transfers team is reporting on appropriate measures of performance. This position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of quality reporting tools to support ongoing business needs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • 50% of time): Solution Design - Develop and implement data solution strategy and vision based on business needs. Translate business and technical requirements into solution designs that satisfy the business needs and comply with established standards. Reviews functional specifications, creates detailed technical design and technical specifications. Develops tools using SQL and related technology to ensure that logical checks for prior servicer data are automated, reportable, and accurately reflect key Servicing Transfer and business area requirements for data quality.
  • (30% of time) Develops and manages the parameters for the scope of data required to build a strong testing framework for Servicing Transfers team. Implements and manages QA process for testing. Develop, plan and execute quality assurance process improvement work plans and reporting which are consistent with Loan Servicing compliance. Review transfers to ensure all data issues are appropriately documented and tracked and variances are addressed for bulk and flow.
  • (20% of time) Develop, plan, execute and present special projects including the development of management reports based on testing findings. Support Director of Loan Boarding in weekly reporting and audits/ad-hoc as required by providing KPIs and reports. Provide mentoring and support to bulk and flow teams on processes, daily tasks and MSP.

Job Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience with mortgage loan servicing systems and with boarding loans specifically
  • 3+ years' experience with relational and dimensional data modeling and SQL
  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance or related field)
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution, accurate in execution, able to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to build scalable data models and databases to ensure quality data transfers
  • Ability to design and create automated testing models for inbound transfers and ongoing quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven adherence to data integrity and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability in collaboration and working with others in teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of a mortgage servicing system, preferably MSP.
  • Ability to build databases and data models required
  • The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting. Extensive periods of sitting and computing.
