The Business Continuity Specialist under direction of VP-Risk Management is responsible for maintenance of records pertaining to Disaster Recovery (DR) for Bank departmental and subsidiary functions, and assistance with plan implementation, analysis, testing, and notifications.
Work with internal department managers achieving updates to existing DR plans and
Design new plans utilizing the ResilienceOne software system.
Support scheduled testing of critical functions on a table-top or actual basis to ensure plans are effective in purpose and meet internal requirements and regulatory compliance.
Assist with employee training of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and their plan in preparation of an incident occurring.
Utilize AlertMedia notification system for communication of weather-related and other events requiring both normal business and after-hours messaging to staff of affected market regions.
In the event of an incident, assist recovery team ensuring BCP is properly communicated, implemented, and appropriate measures are followed, including communication of appropriate group messaging and ensure messages are sent via the AlertMedia system.
Gather and organize details of all incidents appropriately to ensure compliance.
Serve as back-up to VP- Risk Management role related to Business Continuity, and other Risk Management functions including but not limited to the Corporate Insurance function.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of working Banking experience required, preferably in Risk Management or Audit
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of staff
Strong analytical skills required
Ability to travel up 10-20%, potential overnight trips to other Bank locations
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment

Sitting for extended periods of time.
Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.
