Your responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace.   • Develop statistical demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances between forecasts and sales in order to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
  • Create a consensus forecast based on statistical forecast and input gathered from Sales and Product Management
  • Place Supply orders, using SAP with TK Plants to support sales and forecast, taking into consideration numerous factors such as Plant capacities, budgeted inventory levels, budgeted inventory turns, warehouse space, lead times, obsolescence and delivery commitments to customers
  • Interact with sales, customers, product management, TK plants, Finance, and Management to understand and meet their needs
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Product Management to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
  • Use and maintain the Demand Works/Smoothie software as the primary forecasting system tool and SAP as the business system tool
  • Provide input to the organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Manage MRP related Master Data and keep them updated for two distribution warehouses, including Analyzing inventory levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs
  • Manage and be accountable for providing the right inventory levels to support sales and at the same time maintain a cash optimized NWC
  • Create, prepare and maintain relevant reports and research pertaining to the demand and supply chain planning process
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements within the supply chain to enable overall business process improvement
  • Prepare and Report on KPI's related to Supply Chain on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Independently plan and execute smaller improvement projects in the planning scope
  • Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Relevant experience in Supply Chain, Planning and Forecasting where independent demand planning occurred in both a Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order environments
  • APICS or other forecasting Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
  • Proven experience with complex planning, forecasting and product lifecycle programs
  • Experience with Purchasing/Materials tools (MRP, Inventory analysis, part or supplier profiles and other Database needs
  • Proven people skills, must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
  • Organizational and problem solving skills required and independent working style
  • Knowledge of SAP planning is strongly preferred
  • Quick understanding of data, analytical mindset, very strong focus on attention to detail
  • Experienced with other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process. Good facilitation skills are required
  • Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors; maintains accountability for performance
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills
  • Proven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.
  • Possesses a stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment Education:
  • BA/BS college degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain Management or Engineering or its equivalent
