Brief Description: Dun & Bradstreet’s Audit Services team is looking for a staff auditor who is self-motivated, a strategic thinker, and a team player with strong interpersonal skills.  The staff auditor, reporting to the Audit Services Senior Manager, will work closely with the team and assist in planning and executing audit testing, developing and delivering recommendations, and supporting the team’s strategic objectives. 

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct reviews of the Company’s domestic and international business entities. 

Assist in planning and executing audit projects, including evaluating and assessing business and audit risk, completing assigned audit areas, and documenting work within the audit software.

Communicate requests, possible issues and concerns throughout the course of the audit.  

Clearly and concisely document work product and observations.

Assist with reviews, special projects and investigations, working comfortably with third parties, e.g., external auditors and customers.

Proactively partner and build relationships with the client to identify control deficiencies, process improvements and financial issues, and propose solutions for issues found.

Leverage data analytic skills, process analysis and critical thinking to deliver value.

By the end of year one, a successful team member will be able to demonstrate: competence using the team’s audit software and analytic tools in accordance with the team’s audit methodology, consistent performance completing assigned work on time, the ability to articulate observations and propose remediation plans for all assigned areas, and efforts to build relationships both within and outside of the Audit Services team.

Key Experiences / CompetenciesCPA/CIA certification, or demonstrated progression toward achieving certification.  Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university required.   Masters or MBA, a plus.

Minimum of one year of Big 4 audit experience

Strong work ethic.  Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating attention to detail.   20-40% travel (including international)

Understanding of accounting/finance and operational controls.  Knowledge of data analytics tools a plus.
