SUMMARY: NADCAP PLATER
Employee will be required to adjust plating bathes by adding chemicals under the direction of the Plating Supervisor.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee must have the competence to follow NADCAP written procedures for precise shell and electrode plating. Responsible for brite dipping process and passivity testing. Additional working knowledge of NADCAP nickel, tin and copper plating procedures will be necessary Employee will be a hazardous waste handler.
III. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Other prerequisites will be the working knowledge of processing all product in the proper sequence to produce high quality product in a prompt and efficient manner. Extensive use of pin gauges and thread gauges is required to ensure product meets specification prior to release from the plating department. Employee will know and follow the NADCAP procedures for pre-plate and post plating clean up as well as proper racking and un-racking methods to avoid damage to product. Employee will be required to perform other tasks and duties as may be assigned by the Plating Supervisor.
IV. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
General housekeeping as required. Be responsive with department personnel and staff to promote a team-player environment. Participate and attend training sessions as required to meet standards of job related activities.
GOOD ATTENDANCE REQUIRED OF THIS POSITION.
Employee must maintain a clean, uncluttered and safe work environment observing and practicing high standards of health and safety. This includes wearing appropriate attire, such as protective safety glasses, appropriate closed-toed shoes and any other safety required gear where applicable.
