Schneider Electric is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Technical Project Manager to manage several projects and initiatives within our IoT Cloud platform. This IoT Cloud platform provides foundational technology to enable digitization of a range of offers sold to our customers. It leverages state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure to deliver a rich set of services used by various customer-facing applications developed within different lines of business in Schneider Electric.
The Technical Project Manager manages various projects both long and short term and is the primary liaison between business requests and internal resources. These resources will be a combination of on-site and off-site teams. Some teams could be 3 rd party teams. This role facilitates, prioritizes and fosters communication for internal and external audiences while managing the overall project performance for planned, ad-hoc, and special projects to ensure work is completed on time, within budget and achieves the target objectives.
Within the scope of this role is developing and managing project scope, managing risk and dependencies, facilitating meetings, project reporting, metrics collection and assessment, and contingency planning, all within an Agile development environment. The Technical Project Manager has responsibility for the following:
Updating all internal and external project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Setting and continually managing project expectations with project teams, executives, and clients
Interfacing with multiple groups within a lifecycle which include: internal company teams and vendors
Support the creation of statements of work (SOWs) with project leadership; may include the coordination of vendor activities
Partner with technical support teams to develop user-training plans, technical support documentation, and in some cases training deliver
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Prepare status reports and communication plans
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Conduct retrospectives during project execution and closure to ensure continual improvement
Qualifications Candidate should have these qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems or equivalent and 5+ years work experience in software project management
Experience and alignment with Agile methodology
Knowledge of Cloud technologies
Experience with Agile toolsets such as Visual Studio Team Services or Jira
Strong leadership skills. Strong verbal and written communication.
Ability to anticipate risk, evaluate options for issues within projects and make recommendations to scrum teams and/or management team
Strong attention to detail
Experience in IoT, Big Data, CyberSecurity desired
