Job Description:

The Business Analyst position is an exciting opportunity to drive and directly influence Science and Technology's Transformation and play a key role in accelerating PPG's organic growth. PPG's acquisition strategy has supported our top-line growth, but added significant complexity and distracted PPG from growing organically. The goal of the S&T transformation is to drive organic growth by leveraging our scale as One PPG to introduce innovative technologies that differentiate and disrupt our markets.

This position will be responsible for developing insights on global, cross SBU macro data and providing recommendations to drive organizational excellence through identified continuous improvement initiatives. This role will drive these initiatives to successful completion through exercising disciplined project management techniques, strong facilitation of team activity, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement within S&T laboratories (including research, product development, and customer support); portfolio analysis, metric reporting and tracking, and communication effectiveness.

  • Participate in the creation of improved and standard processes to support an optimized global organization; provide insight and direction into new process integration within a complex landscape of new, existing or changing S&T process systems.

  • Perform role from a global perspective while managing potential conflicting priorities and requirements between regions or business units.

Qualifications& Experience include:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business management or other related field.

  • Minimum 5+ years of associated work experience

  • Experience managing complex global projects from vision through implementation.

  • Systematic gathering, analyzing, and reporting of data

  • Ability to understand and manage complexity

  • Planning and organizing

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to optimize processes and tools to deliver improved efficiencies
