Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Proposal and Sales Specialist will be part of fostering HAECO Cabin Solutions market expansion. This will include the coordination of large commercially and technically complex airline and OEM proposals, as well as the development of associated product presentations and detailed commercial technical documentation.


* Generates and updates various weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting platforms

* Assists in preparing various graphs, charts, forecasts and PowerPoint presentations in support of sales forecasting and strategic planning

* Collaborates closely with Corporate Marketing to generate customer specific PowerPoint presentations that are tailored to the needs identified in customer RFIs/RFPs

* Prepares market specifications and assists in identifying market relevant product improvements and new product platforms

* Conceptualizes internal and external product communication and assists in preparing customer visits, tradeshows and associated logistics

* Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to arrange logistically complex customer seat and monument shows

* Tracks show seat and monument inventory and coordinates the demand for and build of new product. Ensures overall refurbishment of existing product to ensure compliance with the design and aesthetic standards outlined by the customer

* Assists in the coordination of the development of commercially and technically complex proposals for airlines and OEM customers

* Helps drive the company response to RFPs in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

* Assists in reviewing, coordinating and preparing responses to customer inquiries. This will entail supporting multiple internal stakeholders with inputs to the final deliverable (e.g. Engineering Specifications, LOPAs, bid sheets etc.)

* Assists in the development of project financial spreadsheets and conducts the baseline research required to formulate pricing and negotiation strategies for management review and approval.

* Responsible for gathering technical information, specifications and quotations from various internal stakeholders including engineering, operations and finance for proposal preparation

* Responsible for cost estimates in support of margin and EBIT calculations, work with Finance in building a proposal pricing and margin sign-off sheet for each proposal

* Bachelor s Degree in business or equivalent related experience in proposals and sales

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Outstanding attention to detail

* Strong presentation skills

* Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, interdisciplinary environment

* Excellent skills in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

* Proven intercultural understanding

* Experience with financial models and good understanding of accounting

* Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings

* Solid understanding of complex interior products and reconfiguration services


* Familiarity reviewing and understanding RFP, RFQ, RFI requirements and developing proposal schedules and assignments

* 1-3+ years bid and proposal experience

* 2+ years Engineering experience or similar role

* Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) systems

* Experience working in a matrix environment

* Hands-on knowledge of aviation interiors market in either seating, monuments or reconfiguration and integration services
