Job Description:

SUMMARY

Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system for manufacturing, quality, product support, and other operations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following


  • Coordinates modification records for management control

  • Creates, adjusts and modifies entities in Product Data Management (PDM)/Product Life Cycle Management (PLM)

  • Coordinates transition between PDM/PLM

  • Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by Company and subcontractor

  • Conducts Change Board; reviews preliminary design changes for implementation into Type Certification

  • Prepares reports of change effect on overall product

  • Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities

  • Reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies

  • Designs CAD formats and templates

  • Authors company procedures, instructions and forms

  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Experience with Configuration Management products required, Matrix One PDM and Siemens Team Center

  • Administrative Experience with Team Center preferred

  • Must be knowledgeable of detail, assembly and installation blueprints

  • Unigraphics/Siemens NX8.5, NX11, AutoCAD drafting experience

  • Prior knowledge of MDHI commercial products is preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and organization skills required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects is required

  • Familiarity with AS9100 and FAA Code of Federal Regulations Title 14 preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Swift-view and Advanced Tiff Editor

  • Experience with government contracts; CDRLS, SDRLS and document marking

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or University; and 5 – 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


  • Configuration Analyst Certification preferred
