Job Functions:As an HR Manager you will be the Human Resources lead for the MTU Onsite Energy business in North America supporting the HR Business Partners and site leadership teams within our Rolls-Royce Power Systems business. You will have the opportunity to research, develop and implement the best HR solutions and new ideas across the company, as well as ensuring that we have a consistent strategy, service and policy across all of our locations on a global scale.
Provide HR support to business managers with particular emphasis on delivery of activity where face-to-face support or local business context is required
Ensure good employee relations across the assigned population and exchange best practices
Lead HR initiatives and programs and assess the needs of the business to develop and implement solutions
Manage and coordinate all HR functions and services for the business
Accountable for the local deployment of company HR processes, projects and identified change programs
Lead difficult HR processes, including investigating claims and complaints, refereeing disputes and managing disciplinary procedures.
Monitor policy and procedural compliance across the business area and for Diversity & Inclusion deployment, monitoring and compliance
Support the local apprenticeship programs
At a local level, ensure that the HR delivery model is effective and that HR processes are consistently delivered
Perform special projects and assignments as required.
Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Qualifications:Required:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in Human Resources or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in Human Resources
Experience managing employee relations cases, talent development and enabling culture change including driving diversity and inclusion
Demonstrated ability to lead change programs and business growth strategies
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and critically and drive tactical execution
Demonstrated ability to work independently, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Track record of strong performance and significant contributions to the business Demonstrated ability to influence leadership and drive change agendas
Employment/Labor Law knowledge
Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 5%
Experience working with a global team and / or in a matrix environment
Experience of operating in a non-unionized manufacturing facility
Broad HR skill set with experience in multiple functional areas - staffing, benefits, compensation, etc.
Proven track record of maintaining a successful Positive Employee Relations posture at a manufacturing site
Experience of operating within an HR Shared Service delivery model
Experience using Workday
