The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.
Cybersecurity Integration & Engineering is responsible for the security guidance & compliance at Comcast, which includes Firewalls, Proxies, Web Application Firewalls, Content Analysis and Forensics tools.
Candidate will be supporting the security team with deployment of security tools, script automation tools to monitor the network devices for operational excellence and assist with writing in java a single pane of glass to call various tools. Networking and software experience is big plus, Pre-junior/Junior candidates are ideal, security experience and eagerness to learn new tools is a plus.
Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Ability to automate network functions
-Ability to write in java, Jinja and other tools inventory management for security devices
-Ability to multi-task and learn new technologies such as A10/RSA/Symantec products
-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United Statesbased college or university that has a cooperative learning track
-Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23rd, 2019.
-Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computing & Security Technology
-3.2 minimum cumulative GPA preferred
-Scripting skills in Python/Java
-Authorized to work in the United States of America
