Senior Specialist, Curriculum Development

The responsibilities of this role include the expansion and maintenance of CPE curriculum through the coordination of new CPE course development, updating of existing CPE courses, and development of curriculum for new CPE products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Write technical content for CPE courses.
Provide a technical and grammatical review of CPE courses developed by subject matter experts (SMEs).
Write and/or review CPE course questions and glossaries.
Research new accounting standard updates, tax laws, and relevant industry updates and assess their impact on CPE courses.
Gather descriptions of new CPE courses and webcasts from SMEs and submit to production and marketing.
Regularly review courses on CPE catalog to determine when a course updated is needed and coordinate the updating of CPE courses.
Train and support new CPE writers on the CPE course development and recording process.
Manage multiple SMEs on assignments such as course updates, course creation, etc.
Coordinate with outside vendors to develop CPE course content--submit new course proposals and oversee project timelines, etc.
Assist in the development of CPE learning maps.
Assist in the development of curriculum for new CPE products and custom content projects.
Assist with instructional design of new and existing courses.
Assist with conference planning and technical review of content to be presented at conferences.
Maintain library of current pronouncements, changes to tax law, exposure drafts of potential future pronouncements and inform SMEs of changes in authoritative literature in order to ensure that CPE courses are current.
Review and critique the Becker CPE LMS and other learning tools.
Completes other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree with CPA credential required
Master’s degree with 2+ years’ experience with content development preferred
3+ years expertise in Taxation or Accounting/Auditing preferred
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
