The Director Human Resources (HR) Operations is both a strategic and hands-on role leading and facilitating the planning and execution of multiple HR support functions globally. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), this role will design, implement and directly manage an employee support center of excellence. The HR Operations Director has experience in designing efficient HR processes and operations and a talent for analyzing complex data and telling the business story as well as solving problems through the data. The Director of HR Operations is a business leader with a transformational mindset and deep experience in process design, as well as a history of identifying and migrating work into a shared services environment for multi-disciplinary HR services. Finally, this leader must effectively interface with the executive management team, collaborate across all business and functional channels, and serve as a highly integrated member of the HR team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ownership for the development, vision and execution plan for HR shared services, ensuring the design is linked to business and people strategies. This includes identification of HR transactions and service delivery processes and to create centralized solutions on a global scale.

  • Build a best-in-class human resources support center with self-service and escalated service model.

  • Responsible for ongoing identification of opportunities to centralize, automate, document system requirements, and the transition of HR work to an internal global shared services model, employee self-service, and manager self-service platform with the purpose of reducing the administrative burden to the HR COE’s.

  • Optimize HRIS (Workday) to meet workflow requirements creating opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes.

  • Research both strategic and tactical employee service issues and recommend changes to programs/philosophy as appropriate. Lead implementation efforts, project management, and coordination with other teams as necessary, for any approved initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to policy, procedure and administration globally by ensuring the team is conducting regular audits and maintaining resources related to current regulations.

  • Lead the development of our Intranet and HR site for better usability by employees, partnering with HR and Marketing.

  • Consult with key stakeholders to determine user needs, reporting requirements, and areas where procedures need streamlining in a high growth environment and identify where talent should be located across the globe to best support the needs of the business.

  • Active involvement in mergers and acquisitions to align the future combined organization with an employee support strategy for success.

  • Responsible for global mobility; including management of ex-pat assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum 10+ years of professional HR experience including 3-5 years managing complex programs, HR Technology (preferably Workday) and projects with HR scope

  • Strong project management skills; the ability to lead projects, motivate teams, and drive execution to the achievement of the right results

  • Skills in cross-functional stakeholder management and effective communication across all levels of an organization

  • Ability to build relationships and trust with internal and external clients. Be the “go-to” person and trusted support

  • Ability to handle confidential information and work in a professional environment

  • Lead process improvements and systems changes. Knack for questioning “why” and influencing others on better solutions

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and independently, yet work collaboratively within a team environment and having fun while working smart
