Job Description:

Supports and/or manages assigned digital products, services, platforms, experiences and/or strategies as well as supporting industry analyses and research. May assist in development of a product or Digital Banking strategy, including working with relevant business partners to create the design, development, implementation, marketing and ongoing support for the product or service. Ensures projects, products or services follow existing Department processes and procedures. Works with other departments in synthesizing data and insights to support strategy development.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Associate Digital Product Manager will fill the role of "product owner" for the Digital Alerts product. They will be working with agile development teams to enhance customer experience by delivering technical capabilities for alerts across the digital platform. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the ongoing phases of implementation follow the Digital Alerts road map, and that internal and external key stakeholder requirements are met. Additionally, they will:

  • Maintain scrum team backlog, including user story writing
  • Build and vet requirements, involved in grooming sessions and continual prioritization
  • Participate in all scrum team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, demos, and business sign-off
  • Liaison to product management and business partners to assess, add, and prioritize new efforts
  • Represent business value proposition through technical enhancements
  • Help facilitate design and customer journey mapping sessions
  • Help coordinate marketing and communication strategies related to assigned digital products or projects
  • Understand and manage product risk, inclusive of all phases a product may be in and all pillars of risk to protect the Bank
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable
  • Complete other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:
Associate's degree and a minimum of 2 years' digital, marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 4 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' digital, marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience

Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor's degree

Experience with process mapping or customer journey mapping
