Job Posting Title:Senior Sales Representative - Calva
The territory manager services customers and offers consultative sales techniques by calling on dairies and calf ranches within the assigned market area to evaluate and provide nutritional and management program solutions; the position also involves supporting large distributors, leading producer meetings, and organizing effective educational meetings both for distribution representatives, dairy managers, and calf workers. This position is responsible to sell Calva/Land O’Lakes solutions. Further responsibility includes; developing relationships and working collaboratively with distribution representatives, owners, key account partners.

Required (Basic) Experience & Education:
Diploma/GED or higher
7 or more years of related Agri technical sales experience - and/or livestock management experience
Proficiency in Spanish is very important to success in the role
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Required Competencies & Other Skills:
This position requires excellent verbal and written communication, focus, along with strong organization and time management skills.
Success in this position requires high internal drive, attention to details, an ability to develop relationships, and provide leadership in a team environment.
Candidate has a passion for calves and helping teams and customers reach their goals.
Basic understanding of animal nutrition is a must, along with strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or a closely related field
Strong dairy or animal background and previous professional experience with dairy cows and calves, sanitation, calf feeding equipment and quality assurance.
Preferred Competencies & Other Skills:
Candidate has strong public speaking skills, is goal oriented and possesses excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Should possess excellent relationships in the California dairy market
Be willing to use salesforce (customer relationship management (CRM) system) to document customer interactions.
