As a Technical Writer you are responsible for preparing instruction manuals, articles, and other supporting documents to communicate product installation and other technical information as needed more easily to our end users, customers or consumers. They will also be responsible to implement a standardized template for instruction sheets and ensure that all technical information required on packaging and instructions are included.


In our newly constructed state of the art facility in Lake Nona- Orlando- just a few miles from Orlando International Airport.


  • Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation

  • Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers

  • Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions

  • Organize and write supporting documents for products

  • Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding

  • Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos

  • Standardize content across platforms and media

  • Gather usability feedback from end users, customers, designers, and employees

  • Revise documents as new issues arise

  • Create how-to manuals, assembly instructions and “Frequently asked questions”

  • Work with customer service managers to improve the end-user experience through FAQ’s and potential changes to instruction sheets.


  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or English

  • 2-3 years of related work experience

  • Experience with instruction manuals

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English

  • Attention to detail

  • Good organizational and proactive time-management skills; comfortable working independently

  • Passionate about improving the installation process for the end user, consumer, and customer.

  • Ability to build and install product samples. Must be comfortable with tools to assemble products such as storage organization products.

  • Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed

Software skill set/experience

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outllook- Intermediate level

  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign Illustrator and Photoshop- Advanced level

  • Cad software- Intermediate level
