Summary:

The Molding Machine Operator I is responsible for operating various Molding machines and auxiliary manufacturing equipment to produce molded products or parts while adhering to safety and quality guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Operate different types of manual and automatic injection molding machines including injection molding, blow molding, and thermoset machinery

  • Operate multiple molding machines simultaneously while meeting production goals

  • Count, organize, label, package, and stage various plastic parts

  • Complete all specified paperwork and complete documentation in ERP system

  • Perform in-process visual inspection of parts

  • Track manufactured and rejected parts on reconciliation sheets or ERP system as required

  • Trim excess material from part using knife or other hand tools as needed

  • Grind scrap plastic or rejects as needed

  • Observe operation of mold machines and notify appropriate personnel regarding operational issues

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines

  • May work independently or as part of a team

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Good manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools

  • Good visual ability with high attention to detail

  • Basic math and computer skills

  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds

  • Manufacturing experience is ideal but we’re happy to train the right person

Schedule:

Monday - Wednesday (6:00am - 6:00pm) & Thursday (6:00am - 12:00pm)
