Interested in targeting product and customer opportunities to drive revenue growth for fast growing technology areas? IDC is seeking a highly motivated associate product manager who will partner with research, sales and marketing to develop revenue in key product areas. This highly collaborative and detail-oriented role will focus on managing integrated research and marketing programs while also implementing portfolio level targeting and positioning strategies to ensure marketing and sales readiness. This position also requires strong process and project management that will help bridge product expectations to successful sales outcomes.
Manage the complete lifecycle of global research methodologies such as IDC FutureScapes including annual roll out, analyst training and adoption, ensuring quality and governance with an eye toward customer impact and value, as well as liaison with marketing on related external programs
Manage the IDC DX Use Case annual research development, updates and publication while ensuring all master taxonomy documents are maintained and updated
Manage the product portfolio review and product development process for new customer-focused research practices ensuring value-based products that will drive growth
In partnership with research, ensure collaboration and process execution that will result in the development of new practice research and research agendas aligned with the client needs
Enable sales readiness by providing input to differentiated positioning for new research practices as well as manage the TAM development process
In this capacity, this new role requires working closely with all aspects of the business including research analysts, sales, marketing, IT, publishing, custom solutions as well as senior management while applying exceptional process and project management skills.
2-5 years in product management, product marketing, project management and/or market development roles with preferred experience in a consulting, advisory or services organization
Highly organized, detail oriented and ability to manage and execute on multi-faceted projects
Proven abilities in teamwork, relationship building, collaboration and project management
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with sales will be key to success in this position
Experience developing value-based messaging and positioning is a plus
Candidates will be required to hold a bachelor's degree with an MBA a plus
This position will be based in IDC's Framingham, MA office and will require approximately 5% travel
