Who are we looking for?

You will be responsible for supervising and participating in the work of an assigned crew of personnel engaged in the maintenance and repair of the sanitary sewer collection system.

What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?

  • Plan and organize daily work assignments.

  • Assess work orders.

  • Enforce safe work practices.

  • Supervise and participate in the installation, repair and maintenance of the sanitary sewer collection systems, including lift stations.

  • Operate a variety of equipment, including bobcats, backhoe, and dump truck.

  • Ensure safe work sites.

  • Transport equipment and supplies to and from job sites.

  • Notify residents of repairs and address citizen concerns.

  • Purchase materials and equipment along with gathering quotes, assist with setting up purchase orders.

  • Supervise and participates in the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

  • Maintain shop and office areas.

  • Supervise and evaluates assigned personnel.

  • Respond to after-hour emergencies.

  • Assist other crews as needed.

  • Assist in Asset Management and Maintenance Program.

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems.

  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Class A commercial driver's license issued by the State of Missouri for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

  • Possession of or ability to obtain a Class D Collections System Operator Certification.
