John Zink Hamworthy Combustion

John Zink Hamworthy Combustion continues to grow its manufacturing facility in Tulsa, OK into a world-class operation and has an immediate need for a Service Technician. We are recognized for safety, environmental excellence, innovation, and customer service. This is a great opportunity to be an active member of a customer facing service support team for our Thermal Oxidizer product group.


  

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

Working with and effectively communicating with both our end users and in-house staff to support our equipment in the field. This includes via email, through telephone and face to face field visits as needed. This also includes arranging site visits, generating, as well as submitting project billing sheets and trip reports in a timely manner. Have the ability to support customers and other field technicians in the field. The individual will require good troubleshooting and communication skills.

Role will require the ability to startup equipment, troubleshoot, arrange customer visits, work with customers remotely, and work with management to complete aftermarket customer needs.

Ability to travel 70-80% or as needed to meet business needs. This position is a field position and will be expected to travel to troubleshoot, startup and commission equipment.

This position is stationed in Tulsa, Ok, but may have remote work options available to those situated within customer demographic areas such as California, North East United States and the Gulf Region: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. 

 


What You Will Need: 

Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 2 or more years work experience in technical service support

  • Basic understanding of combustion related equipment

  • 1 or more years of support on control skids and PLCs 

  • 1 or more years of experience managing other employee's schedules and work activities

  • 2 or more years experience in field service


Physical Requirements:


  • Able to work outside in appropriate safety gear

  • Able to work up to 12 hours a day when required

  • Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time while performing field work

  • Ability to travel 70-80% of time or as needed

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Technical or Associates degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical based fields

  • 5+ years of controls instrumentation and BMS systems

  • Programming ability on AB or other common PLC units

  • 5+ years of field service experience, experienced in international field support

  • 5+ years in support or design of combustion related equipment
