The Director, Infrastructure & Operations – Network and Telecommunications is part of SC Johnson’s IT organization, Business Process and Technology (BPT) and is responsible for managing and leading a global team of IT network and security professionals in development and implementation of SC Johnson’s Networks strategies. This role reports to the Senior Director, Infrastructure & Operations. The team under the Director’s authority will draft the strategy, builds the network design, and continuously operates and improves upon the network to assure uninterrupted IT service for SC Johnson’s operations around the world.
The Director, Infrastructure & Operations – Network and Telecommunications position combines highly technical IT work with significant business acumen, leadership skills and fiscal management components. The Network Team is deeply technical in that it designs, deploys, and runs complex integrated network and telecommunication systems. The Director provides the vision or the development of these systems, the technical and managerial leadership to that end, and allocates department and divisional resource in support. The Director works closely with technical teams across SC Johnson’s BPT function ensuring alignment between it.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and lead network architects and engineers capable of designing, building and run IT Networks solution in support of SC Johnson’s business and company goals.
Lead Team members with performance review, training and skills which are commensurate with overall Network and BPT goals and objectives.
Establish SC Johnson’s Network Strategy and technology map in response of Company’s goals and vision.
Provide technical architectural leadership in response of business challenges.
Optimize and rationalize SC Johnson’s Network to achieve elasticity and support overall Company’s competitive advantage.
Influence and collaborate within and outside BTP function to support BPT initiatives.
Lead new business requirements into actionable IT solutions and enduring solutions are in line with technological capabilities and cost targets.
Ensure the compliance of all new infrastructure services with the agreed standards are supporting the integration of and convergence to new solutions as they emerge.
Lead the management of Networks IT Security services.
Operationalize Network services and advance its maturity to standard industry levels.
Develop and manage Network budget.
Continuously manage and improve Network Services in respect of ITIL and SC Jonson’s processes.
Steer the team to deliver outputs such as service request and incidents in compliance with agreed-upon service levels and operational-level agreements (OLAs).
Establish and maintain proactive and reactive monitoring along with related operational processes internally and with external partners.
Lead the output of Key Performance Indicators that drive the Network team to deliver on committed response times and reduce occurrence of underlying issues interrupting services.
Assure technologies implemented for the business remain up-to-date by providing End of Life cycle management and processes.
Define and deliver process in respect of agreed and committed timelines.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree
10+ years of experience working within IT Infrastructure & Operations specifically in Network and Telecommunication areas
5+ years of experience managing a team of employees, contractors and Managed Services
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Advanced Degree is preferred
Proven ability managing multicultural teams.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate efforts across departments.
Ability to effectively manage networks initiatives within the boundaries of uninterruptible environments.
Significant project management experience with solid problem-solving approach.
Strong process and process-improvement orientation.

Strong oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to interface and influence all levels of management along with mature presentation skills.
