Job Description:

·    Coordinating and directing month end and year-end closing including reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
·    Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
·    Manage all accounting operations including: billing, A/R, A/P, GL and bank reconciliation, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
·    Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
·    Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
·    Research technical accounting issues for compliance
·    Ensure quality control in financial transactions and financial reporting
·    Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
·    Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
·    Establish & monitor overall accounting policies, internal controls, and accounting practice
·    Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers to properly reflect the financial affairs of the company
·    Oversee accounts receivables to ensure timely and accurate application of billings and cash receipts
·    Collaborate with operations on best practices and cost saving initiatives
·    Responsible for all cash management & daily cash forecasting functions
·    Coordinate the annual audit/review, bank audits, tax audits, and insurance audits. Primary contact for CPA firm, banks, and insurance brokers
·    Manage bank reporting requirements associated with asset based loan

·    Proven working experience as a Financial controller
·    8+ years of progressive accounting & financial management experience in the consumer product goods or manufacturing industry
·    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
·    Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
·    Experience with creating and closing financial statements
·    Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

·    Broad-based accounting operations experience in general and cost accounting, financial analysis, fixed asset accounting, receivables, payables, tax, audit, and legal compliance functions.
·    Direct hands-on experience working with financial ERP software and financial systems
·    Strategy and planning skills – demonstrated ability to proactively plan along with project management skills
·    Collaborative and analytical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
·    Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage projects and deadlines
·    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel
·    Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships in order to cultivate a robust pipeline of deal opportunities
·    Well-organized and able to prioritize among multiple projects with limited supervision
·    Able to expertly communicate ideas to internal and external parties
·    Demonstrable passion as a hands-on leader with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment
·    Ability to adjust strategies and realign priorities in a continually changing environment
·    An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information
·    Maturity and confidence to interface with company executives, business owners and personal style that enable them to lead cross-functional teams
