We’re looking for a food-industry and food-lifestyle savvy team member to help us continue to deliver award winning work and impact the food and beverage landscape.  

The role will focus on media and influencer programs and relations. The team member must have a deep understanding of media relations and the current media landscape, experience pitching and securing top-tier media coverage (a focus on national food media is a plus) and bring relationships with key reporters to their team and clients. The team member must also have an understanding of how to engage with influencers and have experience of working with bloggers and lifestyle, family influencers.

  • Demonstrates a deep knowledge of integrated Communications Marketing principles and strategies

  • Demonstrates understanding of key client information including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors

  • Demonstrates understanding of and implements public engagement and social media programs

  • Demonstrate an understanding of influencer and blogger programs and process associated with securing influencers / bloggers.  

  • Manages media relations by identifying and working with target media and demonstrating a network of traditional and online media contacts and influencers 

  • Writes press materials and internal communications

  • Edits and proofreads written materials for quality and adherence to appropriate writing style

  • Crafts materials for influencers / bloggers 

  • Works with internal audiences on influencer contracts and any procurement needs 

  • Develops client interaction skills 

  • Implements traditional and online research techniques 

  • Demonstrates understanding of how to use and apply basic social media tools to client objectives, including blogs, Twitter, RSS feeds, microblogging, social networks, etc. 

  • Participates and assists in program brainstorming, development and planning

  • Manages projects using organizational skills, working with colleagues, vendors and support agencies and keeping project leaders apprised of status

Basic Qualifications:

The Account Executive must have at least one years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing fields including public relations, digital, social, project management, research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university

  • Intricate level of understanding of the account(s), the clients’ businesses, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, opposition, etc. 

  • Solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals

  • Strong research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop media contacts/relationships

  • Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies

  • Strong research, writing, editing and client interaction skills, perform well under pressure and be a team player.
