This will be remote in Hartford, CT, able to commute within 1 - 1.5 hrs to meet on & off with current Sales Mgr.
Organize all phases of the Company's sales effort for assigned customers. Coordinate and have frequent contacts with all internal departments to include sales & marketing, accounting, manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance. Extensive interface with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND BOOKING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, North America E. Coast, organize and execute the sales and marketing activity for business units.
Prepares and inputs in Spitfire for the preparation of the Plan and FRQs for existing business (status 30 and 40), consolidates the Plan and FRQs for his customers.
Participate and provide input for the SIOP process.
Follows up execution of the budget, identifies risks and opportunities and understand variances and provides explanation.
Promote and sell the Business Units 's existing products to specified accounts.
Ensures application of terms and conditions of existing contracts by both the BU and the customer.
Prepares and attends customer meetings (including performance reviews).
Manages prices, liaises with customer services the update of pricing in the ERP at the appropriate time.
Manage specific customer issues and report on this to the relevant parties.
Conduct contract review once contract signed with the relevant BU stakeholders to flow down the contract conditions.
Develop with the Sales Manager, North America E. Coast, as appropriate, selling prices, consistent with customer perceived value and company guidelines.
Expand the existing/new products market share.
Prepare written proposals in support of business units' bookings.
In conjunction with the Sales Manager, North America E. Coast, prepare a yearly income/bookings plan, which support corporate goals.
Provide weekly and monthly reports to Sales Manager, North America E. Coast on territory, sales activity, and key metrics.
Maintain proper utilization of time and territory management. Provide monthly call schedule and travel plans to the Sales Manager, North America E. Coast - on a 90-day rolling basis. Manage travel expenses in accordance with plan or forecast.
Coordinate with appropriate personnel on follow-up of open quotations to assure receipts of bookings in support of book-to-ship plan.
Maintain a pipeline of new products/projects in support of business units growth plans.
Meet forecasted new business quotas as set at the beginning of each fiscal year.
Assist in long-range sales/margin analysis and marketing strategy for the business Units.
Support customer support in evaluating inquiries, formulate proposal strategy, and approve pricing to ensure our products are specified and purchased.
Complies with and conducts business in accordance with the letter, spirit, and intent of all relevant laws and regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions; wherefore, refrains from any illegal, dishonest, unethical conduct. Maintains communications with all employees, vendors, customers and others in a cooperative and professional manner, while treating them in with dignity, respect and courtesy.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES (MAY INCLUDE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING)
Review terms and conditions for liabilities on all new proposal and contracts to ensure conformity with company policy.
Coordinate visits with customer representatives, arrange and participate in conference as required.
Maintain a contact list and develop an outline of major customer organization to include decision-makers in engineering and purchasing.
Performs other related duties as required and may be assigned.

Good knowledge of the aerospace industry, aircraft technologies and sensor applications.
Strong business acumen and customer interaction experience, in both customer relationship management.
Significant direct sales experience, with account management experience for more than 3 years.
Demonstrates knowledge of sales, business principles, practices and operations as typically acquired by a college degree or the equivalent in related work experience.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Travel is required within the assigned area; a valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field and five (5) years sales /sales engineering
Experience with a broad knowledge of aerospace/aviation industries preferred or equivalent.
