The CSR is responsible for providing complete customer support functions in a fast-paced environment including answering incoming phone calls; providing quotations; providing technical product expertise; entering orders; checking stock availability; providing status of orders; expediting orders; entering service programs and generating work orders; collaborating with sales personnel; using problem solving skills to resolve customer issues; focusing on continuous improvement to improve processes and procedures



  • Talks with customers by phone and receives new orders and quote requests via phone, mail, fax or e-mail.

  • Determines appropriate price, delivery date and other terms for orders and quotes with assistance of templates and ERP system information, and direction of the Sales Representative or Manager as necessary. 

  • Documents and presents the written order acknowledgement or quote to the customer.

  • Handles details and issues as necessary to fulfill Operations, export compliance, and customer needs.  

  • Documents necessary information for customer claims of sales-owned issues to initiate problem resolution.

  • May solicit sale of new or additional services or products.

  • Extensive use of Microsoft Outlook including filing, organizing, and retrieving email correspondences.



  • Associates degree (A.A.) from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but due to open office environment noise level may occasionally be high.
