As the VP of Product Management your goal is to create value for our customers through the development and delivery of software solutions for the logistics industry. Utilizing your deep understanding of customer ecosystems, product management best practices, and business acumen, you will lead our software product investment and innovation efforts to generate business growth in support of targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin. Leading the Product Management team across the portfolio, you will bring product innovation in existing, new or adjacent markets. This leadership role is responsible for the product portfolio roadmap, synergies among products, management of the product lifecycle and all product management processes, in collaboration with a cross functional team, partners and customers. This role has a global impact working across industries and geographies in order to build solutions that fulfil our product vision and turn it into business success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong and high performing product culture whereby the product team develops solutions collaboratively in a rapid testing and learning methodology.
  • Develop the product vision which matches the newly formed business unit's portfolio and capabilities.
  • Work cross functionally across sales, internal/external customers, analysts, marketing, engineering and senior management teams to formulate and execute the product strategy.
  • Spend time with customers, partners and other industry experts to deeply understand market needs and solution white space.
  • Make sound R&D investment decisions based on a thorough business justification for new products, and ensure retirement of product risks (value, usability, feasibility, and viability).
  • Drive execution on R&D spend through utilization of modern product planning, customer discovery, product discovery and product development techniques.
  • Be a regular speaker in company and customer events and remain active in industry and product associations to influence and shape the direction for the business and technology in the segment.
  • Identify new market opportunities and engage key customers and partners to help expand the addressable market.
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy and plan for launching new products to market.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development teams to deliver quality solutions utilized by multiple lines of business.
  • Drive a culture of change and innovation which constructively challenges the status quo and leads to prudent experimentation. Have a growth mindset with the ability to adopt new practices and spearhead adoption.
  • Develop staff through coaching, provide timely performance feedback and assessments and establish performance and development plans. Mentor current and future leaders, ensuring a constantly rising bar in technical excellence and professional growth.
