The Associate Production and Process Engineer provides Engineering support to the Operations Department for the assembly/disassembly/repair of GTF commercial engines.

Tasks within the operations Engineering support include clarifying aircraft engine repair work scopes and associated work instructions in a technical advisory role in the dis-assembly, repair, assembly, and testing of the new-technology GTF jet engines.

You will also support other functions to include Materials, Quality, and Accounts Management when routine technical questions and issues that may arise in the day to day function of the Engine Center.

Your Key Job Responsibilities include:

  • Support Operations in solving any assembly/configuration/inspection problems

  • Clarify aircraft engine repair work scopes and associated work instructions

  • Provide timely responses to Customer and Engineering technical Questions (IPFs

  • Work with Powerplant Engineers in preparing work instructions for engine repairs (Service Bulletins, advisories, performance requirements and modification requirements)

  • Research supporting and advising other functional areas regarding technical issues related to quality, operations processes, materials and customer support

  • Seek opportunities to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency through the use of new materials, processes or technology

  • Assist in training mechanics, inspectors and others related to various technical issues

  • Demonstrate dedication to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities

  • Participate in failure investigations and problem resolution boards

  • Be a source of in-depth technical knowledge on the repair and test of the GTF engine

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelorâ€s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace, Engineering (Engineering Technology degrees accepted) and at least 3 years' OR an Advanced degree and 1 + years' experience in a production/manufacturing engineering role
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience in Engineering

  • Aircraft engine repair or aerospace experience

  • Component Repair, engine test, engine assembly, disassembly or FAA interface
