The Chemistry Lab Technician is responsible for support to the Chemist and Lab Departments, to ensure all testing is performed in accordance with Company written Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and the execution of multiple projects dealing with chemistry laboratory.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES

Performing laboratory analysis on finished product and raw material such as physical testing & wet chemistry methods.
Performing inventory of laboratory supplies; orders laboratory supplies as needed.
Inspecting/Calibrating equipment used in the lab (scales, autoclave, thermometers, refractometers, refrigerators, incubators, Stability chambers).
Making limited interpretations of data generated, and communicating the significance of these experimental results to the supervisor.
Completing variety of tasks to ensure the smooth overall function of the laboratory, including reagent and sample preparation, simple equipment maintenance, lab inventory and maintenance of proper records in compliance with SOP's and applicable regulatory requirements.
Performing other job duties, assignments and tasks as directed by Laboratory Supervisor.

The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and
BA/BS in Chemistry or related experience in the regulated industry; plus
Knowledge of scientific concepts, theory, research procedures, and analytical techniques.
Experience working in manufacturing and/or laboratory environment.
Any Combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.
Knowledge and understanding of quality in the manufacturing environment, as well as laboratory controls and safety.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
