Your Role & Responsibilities
The Process Quality Engineer will be assigned responsibilities as suppliers' and customers' main quality interface. This includes managing assigned suppliers' and customers' satisfaction metrics while implementing successful corrective/preventive actions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supplier / Customer quality contact for assigned production areas including Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR), Corrective Action (CAR), and Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) resolution
Customer/Supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) coordination and submittal/approval.
Maintain successful quality relationships with supplier and customer through proactive activities and problem resolution.
Participate in cross-functional problem solving teams (CIP) and lead teams in quality improvement initiatives.
Conduct/Lead Quality Effectiveness audits and use results to improve quality.
Conduct/Lead designed experiments, capability study analysis, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
Aid in component and tooling/fixture design and improvement.
Gaging, testing, and inspection of materials.
Update MAHLE Behr quality documents on an as needed basis. This includes Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plan documents.
Conduct quality-related training of MAHLE Behr personnel.
Provide direction to Quality Technicians as needed.
Ability and willingness to travel 25%.
Your Skills & Strengths
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering related discipline is Preferred
Permanent Residency Status (US Citizen or Green Card) is Required. No Immigration Sponsorship Provided
Minimum 5 years of Quality experience (Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance, etc.) dealing with Customers, Customer related issues, and Production Processes is Required
Automotive experience is Preferred
Demonstrated Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis experience is Required
Experience working in a QS-9000/TS-16949 environment is Required
Strong Statistics background is a Plus
Ability to Travel (Domestic and International) is Required
