Description Provides system engineering experience and technology innovation to aviation rotary-wing platforms. Manages the technical aspects of the program including the system engineering process, technical management of program progress, and the output of the technical engineering development team. Ensures all technical activities are identified, executed and documented.
Reviews and filters technology opportunities, operational requirements, and technical gaps based upon projected capability needs through technology development coordination (WGs and IPTs). Coordinates the technical performance of the project through control activities including reviews, metrics data collection, identifying requirements and interface definition. Develops and executes risk management activities. Identifies and tracks risks associated with program development, integration, and test activities.
Reports technical project status and progress to the technical and programmatic staff. Interfaces with aviation logistics subject matter experts, user representatives, and the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) engineering staff. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
ABET accredited BS in an Engineering field
Minimum 9 years experience in Army platforms
Experience with the complete System Engineering Lifecycle
Knowledge of the Army acquisition process
Approximately 25% travel
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
Knowledge of AH-46 maintenance and sustainment process
Knowledge of the complete System Development process and lifecycle
