We are seeking a Culinary Services Call Center Representative to: - Provide a high level of customer service by processing patient’s meal requests in compliance with the physicians’ diet orders, nutrition needs as assessed by the registered dietitian-nutritionists, food allergies and department’s room service program. - Initiate and enter non-select menus for patients who are not able to order meals themselves with predetermine service times. Education: Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred - Associates Degree in Hospitality. Work Experience: Minimum - One (1) year of experience in an Administrative Support or related position. Preferred - One (1) year of experience in a call center and/or background in nutrition. Licenses and Certifications: Preferred - ServSafe Certification Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to self-direct to accomplish the coordination and decision-making responsibilities of the position. - Excellent customer services skills required including the ability to work with families under stress. - Knowledge of and ability to use computers and a variety of computer programs, including word processing, database management, and spreadsheets. - Strong organizational skills required. - Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as well as the privacy needs of families and patients. - Ability to use and recognize medical terminology. Physical Requirements: Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met. W ork Schedule: This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position scheduled to work Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (off Sunday and Wednesday). Week 2: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (off Saturday and Monday) with shifts starting at 11:30 am to 8:00 pm. Holidays may be required. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
