ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT - FED COMMUNITIES


The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland serves the Fourth Federal Reserve District, which comprises Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia. It is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, make up the Federal Reserve System and the central bank of the United States.


Overview of Position


The Assistant Vice President - Fed Communities will provide leadership and direction to the Federal Reserve System's Fed Communities initiative which seeks to increase awareness of the Federal Reserve System's collective community development work. The Assistant Vice President will implement the System's strategic communications plan, develop priorities for executing on the plan, and lead a small team of both dedicated and loaned resources. This position requires a high level collaboration with communications and community affairs professionals from across the Federal Reserve System ("System").

Essential Accountabilities


  • Oversee the Federal Reserve System's efforts to extend the reach and impact of its research about, and engagement in, low and moderate income communities with the goal of raising awareness and amplifying the System's community development work among a broader range of stakeholders.


  • Manage an ongoing story-mining process to unearth the most compelling stories from across the System.


  • Determine the strategic positioning for all communications activities including the development of editorial calendars, engagement in relevant conferences, and timely promotion of new or existing work that is relevant to target audiences.


  • Launch new national social media handles and maintain an active and impactful presence on key social platforms.


  • Oversee the launch of the System's Fed Communities website and content management strategy for the new site.


  • Working with colleagues across the System, lead the generation of content that engages influencers and decide the best ways to disseminate content.


  • Regularly engage with community development professionals from across the System to understand their priorities, upcoming work, and events.
