Job Title Marketing Communications Specialist
We are looking for a creative and talented marketing communications professional to join our growing marketing team. The right candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced marketing group (corporate and/or agency) and excel in making the impossible happen. Working alongside the product marketing and creative marketing teams, you will be responsible for strategizing, creating, implementing, and tracking all marketing communication elements within one of our business units. This includes e-mail and direct marketing, content marketing and other lead generation tactics, advertising, collateral development, social media, and special events/trade shows.
Responsibilities (maximum 8 key tasks and responsibilities of this position):
Responsible for implementation of proactive marketing communications for product programs:
Enhances and promotes awareness and acceptance of the GENEWIZ brand among external and internal customers
Develops integrated campaigns that support business goals and sales targets;
Successfully supports new product entries and launches both internal and external
Owns marketing communication strategy plan for specific business lines. Serves as communications lead and ensures consistency through internal and external vehicles; provides strategic counsel and implementation of communication strategy Develop, implement and track multi-channel marketing campaigns for specific business lines. This includes:
Working with product marketing to develop marketing campaign requirements
Working with creative and digital marketing to ensure messaging
Executing multi-touch program elements including email campaigns, digital advertising, social, content marketing, trades shows, etc.
Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing programs
Qualifications (knowledge, skills, experience, abilities, and other requirements):
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, English, Marketing, P.R. Business or related field required (advanced degree preferred)
3+ years of experience in B to B content marketing, P.R., brand marketing or communications. Former copywriters ideal (global experience a plus)
2+ years of experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical marketing preferred
Strong writing experience mandatory with solid verbal/presentation skills. Writing samples required and a writing test may be provided
Loves to learn -- thrives on working with highly technical information and distilling it through to appropriate audiences
Creative and entrepreneurial - ability to brainstorm unique, big ideas, and see them through to detailed execution
Experience with planning and executing marketing plans with measurable KPIs that will drive brand awareness and generate leads
Strong organizational and analytical skills and detail-orientation - ability to prioritize and operationalize projects
