In this role, you will perform precise and accurate measurements on mechanical equipment throughout the plant to ensure that all gauges and test equipment are calibrated and documented as needed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Perform monthly calibrations using high-precision, highly accurate measurement instruments on basic machined, mechanical, and/or electronic gauges in a timely and efficient manner.
Review and follow technical procedures, standards and engineering drawings, reports, and documentation.
Enter calibration activities on a computerized asset management system (Calibration Manager), including equipment records, event and history.
Maintain a neat and organized orderly calibration laboratory and accurate records.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Quality Manager.
Complete Gage Discrepancy Reports when out of specification gauges are identified
Follow and promote safety requirements and environmental policies and procedures.

Expected Areas of Competence
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to use measuring devices (micrometer, caliper, comparator, thread gauges, go/no go gauges, custom gauges, pressure transducers and mass flow controllers)
Experience on programmable inspection machines (vision systems, CMM, etc.) a plus.
Ability to read standard operating procedures and engineering drawings; basic understanding of engineering drawings using Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) required.
High school Diploma or GED required
Prior experience as a Quality Technician in a FDA regulated industry or in a high tech manufacturing operation as a calibration technician or mechanical inspector or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a QA/QC or machine shop environment helpful.
Familiarity with ANSI/NCSL Z540-01 and ISO/IEC17025 a plus.
