Apply your Waterjet industry knowledge as Hypertherm's new Waterjet Customer Application Engineer.
As a Customer Application Engineer at Hypertherm, you'll identify improvement opportunities working in partnership with Strategic Account Managers and Channel Partners to optimize end user cutting outcomes and produce value for our customers while elevating their capabilities of Hypertherm Channel Partners and Associates.
Additional impact you'll have to our Waterjet business in this role includes:
Act as an expert truly understanding customer problems and expectations. Act as the expert in the application of Hypertherm Waterjet products and solutions to address those needs
Through relationship building and solutions focused approach, elevate the capabilities of partners and associates by identifying opportunities to improve productivity, increase performance, and reduce cost and ensure the customer achieves the desired outcome from the chosen solution
Advise on new products, services, and capabilities required to meet end user expectations, channel partner development needs, and partner with Marketing and Training on the development of content to support end users throughout the life cycle
BS/BA with 7+ years demonstrated sales experience and/or operations leadership in a technical field
Strong Waterjet knowledge, manufacturing process and cutting expertise and a strong track record in insights and selling focusing on end user outcomes
7+ years' experience with engineering/technical product sales of a highly engineered product; consultative selling experience using a Challenger or similar values-based sales process (preferred)
2+ years' application field experience in Waterjet
Operations management and value stream optimization including experience with implementation of LEAN, 6 Sigma, Flow, quality management systems
Experience managing commercial relationships (end users and channel partners)
Demonstrated ability to train others
Demonstrated ability to consistently follow standard work sales process and leverage CRM tools
Entrepreneurial self-starter with high achievement orientation
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to develop a clear business case
Highly collaborative active learner
Location: Remote (Homebased)
Travel: Up to 60%
