This position will be a key contributor to the Elanco Corporate Accounting and Reporting (ECAR) team.  This organization plays an important role in developing new policies and processes as a new independent public Company.  The organization will also provide accounting leadership to the global accounting organization.

This position will provide important leadership in the continuous improvement of a recently implemented Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) application.  In addition to enhancing the functionality of this application, a successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide proper administration and governance of the application.  The position will require effective partnering with the corporate accounting and finance teams to improve the functionality of the application.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Administer Elanco’s new BPC application including completing routine maintenance and administration, managing user access and security, and facilitating recurring budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Maintain the integrity of master data and reporting hierarchies

  • Demonstrate the ability to develop reports in the application and train users to develop reports 

  • Assist with integrating a new acquisition into the consolidation, reporting, and planning processes

  • Train users on budgeting and forecasting best practices and tools

  • Influence improvement in budget and forecast capabilities driving shorter cycle times, less effort, and improved outcomes

  • Influence efficiency in external reporting and consolidations driving shorter close schedule and improved automation

  • Provide exceptional customer service to corporate accounting and finance teams by understanding their needs and delivering timely and innovative solutions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a business planning and consolidation application

  • CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco Animal Health does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
