Essential Duties

  • Offers constructive solutions to problems and issues.

  • Create, complete and research existing work orders.

  • Read, comprehend and interpret technical data sheets, schematics, blue prints and instructional guides.

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including basic wiring, circuit installation, cables and switch gear up to 15 kv.

  • Able to troubleshoot, repair, inspect and install lighting fixtures, welders, grinders and power tools.

  • Knowledge of control systems.

  • Read, comprehend and interpret the National Electric Code and install and maintain according to its guide line.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and install electric motors.

  • Understand basic operation of programmable logic controllers (PLC's).

  • Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives (VFD's).

Training & Experience

  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment used in the Industrial or Mining industries.

  • Electrical degree or equivalent experience.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
