Position Summary

This role is accountable for driving global end to end optimization and the delivery of ongoing and strategic supply chain performance objectives: service, total delivered cost, working capital, capacity and innovation in support of the KCP Skin Care strategic business plan and market needs.

This position works closely with Global Business, Procurement, Planning, Quality/Regulatory, R&E and Regional Supply Chain teams to manage and optimize complex global supply chains from a diverse set of external suppliers.

Responsibilities include the development and deployment of the category Supply chain strategy (including global network design), the effective management of the external manufacturing supply base for new and/or existing products, the implementation of External manufacturing best practices and management systems, and ensuring that strategic suppliers meet the expectations in compliance (social, regulatory and quality), production conformance, cost and innovation.

Customers

Global end users of KCP products, commercial teams (product management, innovation/renovation teams) and cross-functional and regional supply chain teams: quality, regulatory, procurement, planning and logistics.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop supply chain and external contract manufacturing (ECM) strategies and capabilities that enable the KCP Skin Care business growth and profitability objectives.

  • Provide leadership and coordination for complex manufacturing/supply chain challenges, commercialization and innovation activities and strategic projects.

  • Collaborate with the Social Responsibility, Quality and Regulatory teams to develop and execute annual supplier audit plans and drive timely & effective corrective actions with suppliers

  • Lead the global cross functional end to end pipeline process to identify and execute value delivery initiatives.

  • Build capability and ensure adherence to the K-C External Manufacturing playbook.

  • Sponsor engagements with strategic suppliers to identify and implement manufacturing and cost improvement programs, leveraging the EmX (external manufacturing excellence) program.

  • Ensure effective management system are in place to monitor and deliver end to end supply chain and supplier’s performance expectations.

  • Collaborate with R&E to identify Design for Value opportunities within products, packages, and processes.

  • Collaborate with Procurement in supplier risk management activities and in the development and execution of category sourcing strategies.

  • Collaborate with Supply Planning to advance the S&OP process maturity for the category, proactively identify capacity requirements over the strategic horizon and developing network plans that deliver cost, capacity, working capital and service objectives.

  • Drive and sustain focused improvements in end to end supply performance leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodology and mindsets.

Organizational Relationships/Scope

This position reports to the KCP Global Supply Chain Director - External Manufacturing.

Global ECM Operations Consultants supporting the Skin Care category will report directly to this role.

Working conditions:

Normal office conditions; travel to various international manufacturing facilities expected to be in the 20-30% range.

Location: Roswell, GA.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 10+ years combined experience within supply chain operational functions (i.e., manufacturing, logistics, engineering, planning, or procurement/sourcing).

  • Demonstrated capability to effectively interface with diverse cultures on an international basis.

  • Lean 6-sigma working knowledge and experience.

  • Effective and influential communication (verbal and written) in the English language.

  • Willingness to flex work hours as necessary to engage with global teams and supply partners.

  • Consistent track record of delivering results while creating/maintaining a constructive work environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate a team, influence members and leaders of other teams, and comfortable communicating upwards to a senior management level.

  • Customer-facing understanding/experience desirable.

  • Strategic mindset.

  • Ability and experience driving collaboration across business and supply chain functions.

  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and facilitate different perspectives to drive solutions.

Differentiating Qualifications


  • Direct experience in skin care industry.

  • Experience managing supply chains or operations in regulated industries.

  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus .
