The Facilities Engineering intern will report to the Facilities Manager in Milford, MA. There are currently several projects for which assistance is required. This position will start following the end of the school year and will be a 40-hour per week position. The position will run through the duration of the summer 2020 break. Projects (not limited to):
Milton Cat currently utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Assist with data loading, reporting documents, & prioritizing work orders.
Assist troubleshooting HVAC issues, utilizing the building management system (BMS) & hands-on experience with facility technicians.
Assist in day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department.
Assist in evaluating Milton CAT's annual energy consumption, and work towards conservation initiatives, alternate energy sources, and accountability.
Assist in establishing "Best Practices" for our Corporate Facilities Program.
Assist in developing FY 2021 Facilities Budget
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time Facilities Engineering student in a public, private or accredited academic institution.
Applicant should be a motivated self-starter and be able to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
Fast learner with a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Excellent computer and related software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability, and team-building skills are all advantages.
Organization and time management skills.
Versatility and the flexibility to adapt to new situations are essential.
Able to commute to work location on a daily basis.
