Ven.ue provides a single solution to distribute content to thousands of destinations around the world while creating a unique personalized experience for each consumer.Sony is seeking an Digital Fulfillment Supervisor to join our team in Marina Del Rey, CA.Your day-to-day includes managing our Packaging and Delivery team, creating and editing content metadata, packaging and QC of assets, conforming customer provided metadata for entry into in-house systems, editing XML files, running scripts, and manipulating customer-provided metadata as needed in order to create a final package that conforms to end point specifications. If you are someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, independent, highly organized, proactive, and a team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment, then this is a great role for you and we'd love to hear from you!The Ideal Candidate:* Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to take initiative* Is proactive and enjoys finding innovative solutions and thinking outside the box* Can build and maintain effective cross functional and partner relationships* Can structure and adjust communication style for varying audiences* Enjoys the challenge of complex problems and systems* Is comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlinesWhat You'll Do:* Manage a team of Digital Fulfillment Operators and Senior Digital Fulfillment Operators* Oversee the daily workflow of the Packaging and Delivery department* Create and verify XML documents for multiple vendors on a per order basis* Package metadata and physical elements per unique vendor specifications* Troubleshoot technical video, XML, and closed captions issues* Proofread, edit, research, enhance, and maintain accuracy of metadata* Analyze and fix failed metadata and images submissions* Ensure timely publishing of videos assets under strict schedules and deadlines* Effectively analyze and communicate information and concerns as they arise resolving problems accurately, on time, with high quality* Utilize and monitor production databases, inputting data as necessary to track progress* Maintain a positive team relationship through both written and verbal communication* Prioritize orders against capacity to meet production due dates* Proactively learn and provide feedback on tools and workflows* Operate computer systems using various tools and data management software* Complete additional content prep department duties as assignedMust Be Able To Demonstrate:* Strong understanding of technical video and audio specifications (e.g. video bitrates and codecs)* Working knowledge of XML creation, editing, and troubleshootingRequirements:* 5+ years of experience working in a data-oriented media environment* Must have experience with film, TV, digital platforms distribution terminology, and localization requirements* Must be technically literate and possess a strong understanding of video and audio* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels of management* Maniacal data worshipper* Strong data entry and proofreading skills* Prior experience as a lead or supervisor* Be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet occasional deadlines* Have excellent problem-solving and organizational skills* Be enthusiastic and willing to learn* Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment* Knowledge of metadata specifications such as MEC and MMCBonus Skills:* Knowledge in newer media formats and packages related to home entertainment (i.e. Common Manifest, Media Manifest Core, UltraHD, Dolby Vision, etc.)* Secondary language skill* Knowledge of coding and/or scriptingSony Electronics is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values employees with a broad cross-cultural perspective.
