Maintenance Worker I (Golf/Irrigation)-The Olde Course at City of Loveland in Loveland, Colorado

Job Description:


This position will be responsible for ensuring well-maintained, high quality, safe and aesthetically pleasing golf grounds, facilities and equipment.

This position is non-benefit eligible, part year, 10 month max working less than 30 hours per week.

Hiring range: $13.00-$14.46 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Position will close to applicants at 12:00 P.M. M.S.T. on Monday, August 17, 2020.


Maintains turf grass areas through mowing, fertilizing and topdressing. Performs cup setting, changing tee markers, checking water level in ball washers, changing towels, filling and raking sand bunkers. Assists Irrigation Technician in maintaining and servicing irrigation system, helping with FST checks, spot watering, syringing greens and adding additions to system. Assists Mechanic in servicing and repairing golf course maintenance equipment. Assists Grounds Technician in implementing fertilization program, pesticide program and other specialized tasks including irrigation, overseeding and topdressing. Assists Construction Technician in completion of projects through operation of tools and equipment. Scheduling includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.



Employee is capable of performing most other golf course maintenance duties and is expected to do so as needed; other duties as assigned.

Requires good work ethic and the ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with co-workers and the general public. Must be 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.



One (1) year previous experience in golf course maintenance, irrigation, mechanical or labor & trades desired.

Material and equipment directly used:

Utility vehicle, specialty tools and equipment.

Working Environment and Required Background Checks:

Performs duties in several different locations, primarily in an outside environment. May be required to push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, move and position up to 50 pounds, and reach to perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and variable work hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.
