The L&OD Lab Manager is responsible for understanding and defining the training delivery requirements for the Vertiv Academy and identifying business objectives that drive current and future lab design specifications. The L&OD Lab Manager is responsible for equipment installation and maintenance tasks such as managing, installing, and integrating new Vertiv equipment and equipment upgrades, designing cabling solutions, components and accessories, maintaining records and drawing schematics of the lab to detail what equipment is installed, and maintaining a safe work environment for students. The L&OD Lab Manager is responsible for customer support including escorting customers through the lab on tours, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with other organizations. The L&OD Lab Manager is also responsible for scheduling lab availability to support virtual, remote, and instructor-led training events, planning for capacity changes, maintaining corporate databases, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsible for the operational integrity of the training lab infrastructure, ensuring the solution is working properly and meeting all operational KPIs and requirements. Design Academy lab environment according to present and future requirements. Design regional and mobile lab environments; train regional trainers and lab administrators.
R esponsible for future planning and managing overall lab capacity, bandwidth, and future considerations for growth based on needs of the business. In partnership with IT, design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks. Coordinate with NPDI to plan and implement new Vertiv products and upgrades in the lab environment; coordinate with various departments and perform integration of critical systems into infrastructure; coordinate with IT and business teams to develop strategies that ensure achievement of lab capacity and remote lab access.
Overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of training lab infrastructure including software deployment and upgrades, system set up, system administration, monitoring, problem management, configuration and change management, capacity planning, availability management, disaster recovery and routine update of services.
Procure equipment and manage multidisciplined contract work along with Vertiv teams involved with installation.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Internet Technology or Facility Management
